NdYAG laser photocoagulation in the dog stomach.
Considerable discussion still centres around the relative merits of the Argon and Neodymium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (NdYAG) lasers for the endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal haemorrhage, although both are undoubtedly effect. We have carried out experiments to elucidate which factors determine the safety and efficacy of NdYAG laser photocoagulation. Histological studies on normal gastric m...

682 infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Though all these lasers would have some effect on melanin, three wavelength bands are most useful for treating pigmented lesions green, red, and infrared.[1] Its not only about the wavelength, it is more about the right pulse duration and at sufficient fluence. Since green and blue light lasers are long pulsed continuous waves, they cause a ...
متن کاملA pumped atom laser
The invention of the optical laser, a bright, pumped source of coherent photons, has revolutionized optics and precision measurement, led to global high bandwidth communication and enabled non-linear optics, quantum optics, and experimental investigations of quantum information, quantum computing and quantum cryptography. The atom laser, a bright, coherent matter wave, holds similar promise for...
متن کاملEnd-pumped Monoblock Laser for Eyesafe Targeting Systems
We describe a next-generation monoblock laser capable of greater than 10 mJ, 1.5 μm output at 10 pulses per second (PPS) over broad ambient temperature extremes with no active temperature control. The transmitter design is based on a Nd:YAG laser with a Cr 4+ passive Q-switch and intracavity KTP OPO. In order to achieve the repetition rate and efficiency goals of this effort, but still have wid...
متن کاملDiode-end-pumped passively mode-locked high-power Nd:YVO4 laser with a relaxed saturable Bragg reflector.
We demonstrate a high-power passively mode-locked Nd:YVO (4) laser that uses a saturable Bragg reflector (SBR) with strain relaxation. 23.5 W of average power with ~21.5-ps cw mode-locked pulse trains was generated at a 50-W pump power. Experimental results show that appropriate strain relaxation in the SBR makes the mode-locking operation less sensitive to temperature variation.
